🔒 100% Private: Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser using PDF-Lib. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Stamps are embedded directly into the PDF as vector text and rectangle objects.

An accounts payable clerk processes fifty vendor invoices every week, each as a PDF. Once an invoice is paid, it needs to be marked to prevent accidental duplicate payment. Printing each one to stamp it physically and scan it back is a ten-minute task per document. A legal team distributing a superseded contract needs every page marked VOID before archiving. A quality inspector approving a batch report wants the word APPROVED on the final page with a timestamp. All three situations need the same thing: a precise, positioned stamp applied to a PDF quickly, without uploading a financial or legal document to an unknown cloud service.

This tool provides ten-plus pre-built rubber stamp options including APPROVED, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, VOID, and more, with full control over color, size, opacity, rotation, and which pages to apply them to. Choose a stamp, click the PDF to place it, and download. The stamps are embedded directly into the PDF as vector text and rectangle objects using PDF-Lib. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

How It Works

  1. Upload your PDF by dragging it onto the upload area or clicking to browse. The document renders in the stamp canvas with page navigation controls. Browse through the pages before placing any stamps to confirm layout and find the target positions.
  2. Select a stamp and configure settings using the Choose Stamp panel to pick from the pre-built options (APPROVED, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, VOID, and others). In the Settings panel, choose a stamp color, set the size in pixels (140px default), adjust opacity (80% default), and select a rotation angle: 0° for straight horizontal, -30° or -45° for left-leaning diagonal, +30° for right-leaning, or 90° for vertical. Set the Apply to option: Current page, All pages, Odd pages, or Even pages. The Apply to setting determines how many pages receive the stamp when you click to place it.
  3. Click to place and save by clicking anywhere on the PDF canvas to drop the stamp at that coordinate. Drag to reposition. Drag a corner to resize. Multiple stamps can be placed in the same session; each appears in the Placed Stamps list before saving. Click Save PDF with Stamps to embed all stamps as vector objects in the document. Download immediately on completion.

What to Be Aware Of

Stamps embedded by this tool are drawn into the PDF content layer as vector objects, which makes them visible to any PDF viewer. However, they can be removed by a determined recipient with PDF editing software. For fully tamper-resistant stamped documents, combine stamping with the Flatten PDF tool to rasterize the content layer, or use PDF password protection afterward to restrict editing. Stamps are visual marks, not cryptographic signatures or legally verified approval records.

File Size Limits

All processing runs in-browser via PDF-Lib with no server upload, so no external size cap applies. Stamps are stored as vector text and rectangle path objects, adding minimal overhead to the output file size regardless of how many stamps are placed or how many pages they are applied to.

Who Should Use This Tool?

  • Students: A student submitting a peer-reviewed assignment can add a REVIEWED stamp with the review date before returning the document to their classmate, creating a clear visual record of the review pass without needing annotation software.
  • Freelancers & Designers: A freelance accountant processing client invoice PDFs can mark each invoice PAID immediately after recording payment, applying the stamp to the entire document with the All pages option before filing it in the client folder.
  • Office Professionals: A legal team retiring a contract that has been superseded by a newer agreement can mark every page VOID with a red diagonal stamp applied to All pages in one operation, preventing accidental reliance on the outdated version by any recipient.
  • Developers: A developer generating batch PDF reports from an application can use this tool to manually stamp test output files with DRAFT or SAMPLE before distributing them internally, verifying that the stamp positioning and size look correct before implementing a programmatic stamp step in the production pipeline.

Key Features

Here's what separates this tool from generic alternatives:

🔒

No Server Upload

PDF-Lib processes and stamps the document entirely in your browser. Invoices, legal contracts, financial reports, and sensitive approval documents never transfer to any external server at any stage.

🖋️

10 Plus Pre-Built Stamps

APPROVED, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, VOID, and more are ready to use with one click. No need to configure text, borders, or sizing from scratch for the most common document status labels used in business and legal workflows.

🔄

Five Rotation Presets

Horizontal, left diagonal (two angles), right diagonal, and vertical rotation options give each stamp its classic rubber-stamp appearance. A 45-degree APPROVED or VOID on a contract page reads instantly as an official status mark.

📄

Apply to All Pages in One Click

Set Apply to to All pages before placing the stamp and every page in the document receives the mark simultaneously. For multi-page legal documents, invoices, and reports, this saves manually stamping each page one by one.

🎨

Custom Color and Opacity

Full custom color picker for each stamp. Match standard official stamp colors (red for VOID, green for APPROVED, blue for RECEIVED) or use your organization's brand color. Opacity control from transparent to fully solid for the right visual weight.

📐

Vector Embedded Output

Stamps are embedded as vector text and rectangle path objects rather than rasterized images. They remain sharp at any zoom level and print cleanly on any printer or in any resolution without pixelation.

Why This Tool Beats the Alternatives

  • No account, email, or signup required at any point.
  • No watermarks added to the output PDF by the tool itself.
  • No server upload; confidential invoices, legal documents, and financial records stay in the browser throughout.
  • Apply to All Pages in one placement action; most free stamp tools require placing the stamp manually on each page.
  • Five rotation presets produce the classic diagonal rubber-stamp look that standard text-only tools cannot replicate without manual angle configuration.
  • Vector output keeps stamps crisp at any print resolution, unlike raster-image-based stamp overlays that pixelate when printed at high quality.

Pro Tips

  • For VOID stamps on multi-page legal documents, set rotation to -45° (steep diagonal), color to red, opacity to 70%, and Apply to All pages before placing. This produces the canonical large red diagonal VOID mark that immediately signals the document's status to anyone opening any page, without obscuring the underlying text at 70% opacity.
  • After stamping, if you need the stamp to be permanent and impossible to remove by the recipient, run the output through the Flatten PDF tool. Flattening merges all vector layers including stamps into a single static page image, making the stamp indistinguishable from the original document content and impossible to select and delete with a PDF editor.
  • Use the Placed Stamps list panel to review all stamp placements before saving. If a stamp landed in the wrong position or at the wrong size on any page, click it in the list and adjust or remove it before clicking Save PDF with Stamps. Reviewing the list prevents missed placements or misaligned stamps from reaching the final document.

Upload your PDF, choose your stamp, set the page scope, place it, and download in seconds. If you need a subtler full-page watermark rather than a precise positioned stamp, the Add Watermark to PDF tool handles diagonal semi-transparent overlays for the same types of documents in the same browser-based workflow.
