Image Converter

Convert almost any image — HEIC, WebP, TIFF, SVG, GIF, BMP — to JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP or ICO in one batch.

Runs in your browser. Files and text you add here are processed on your own device with JavaScript and are not uploaded to our server. Some tools download a free open-source library (for example PDF.js or QPDF) from a public CDN the first time you use them. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Most “image converter” searches start with a mismatch: the file you have isn't the file something else wants. An iPhone gives you HEIC, a website gives you WebP, a scanner gives you TIFF or BMP, a designer gives you SVG — and the form, app or printer on the other end wants JPG or PNG.

This converter takes all of those in one place. Drop in JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, SVG, ICO or AVIF files — even a mixed batch — and save them as JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP or ICO. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no queue.

The engine uses your browser's own image codecs, plus two small add-ons loaded only when needed: a WebAssembly HEIC decoder for iPhone photos and a TIFF decoder for scans. That combination covers the formats people actually run into day to day.

Mixed batches are the point. A folder from a shared drive often has a bit of everything; you don't have to sort it by type first. Each file is decoded on its own terms and re-encoded to the single output format you choose, and one bad file doesn't stop the rest of the batch.

How It Works

  1. Add files of any supported type — up to 50 at once. The tool identifies each file by extension and MIME type and picks the right decoder: native browser codecs for JPG/PNG/WebP/GIF/BMP/AVIF, heic2any for HEIC, UTIF for TIFF, and the SVG renderer for vector files.
  2. Choose the output format — JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP or ICO. Quality and background-colour options appear only when they apply (for example, background colour for JPG and BMP, which can't store transparency).
  3. Convert and download — each image is drawn to a canvas and encoded. If one file fails, the others still finish and the problem file is named in the results. Download singly or as a ZIP.

Compatibility & Support

Supported Input → Output Formats

  • Input: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, TIFF/TIF (first page), HEIC, HEIF, SVG, ICO, AVIF (where the browser can decode it)
  • Output: JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, ICO (square favicon up to 256 px)
  • Kept: pixel dimensions and transparency (for PNG, WebP, ICO)

Unsupported Formats

RAW camera formats (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG), PSD layers, and PDF pages are not image files a browser can decode — use PDF to JPG for PDF pages. Animated GIF and WebP become a single still frame. Multi-page TIFFs convert their first page only; TIF to PDF keeps every page.

AVIF input works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari; creating AVIF output is not offered because browser support for AVIF encoding is still inconsistent.

File Size Limits

Up to 50 images per batch and 60 MB per file. Browsers cap a single canvas at roughly 50 megapixels, so extremely large images can fail on phones; the tool reports this clearly instead of producing a blank file.

Who Should Use This Tool?

  • Students: A student compiling images from phone photos, web downloads and scanner output converts the whole mixed folder to JPG before inserting them into a report.
  • Freelancers & Designers: A web designer turns a client's logo PNG into a 256 px ICO favicon and WebP versions of hero images in the same session.
  • Office Professionals: A records clerk converts old BMP and TIFF scans to compact JPGs so they can be attached to the document management system.
  • Developers: A developer standardizes a messy assets folder to WebP without writing an ImageMagick script or installing Node packages.

Key Features / Khusoosiyat

Here's what separates this tool from generic alternatives:

🔀

Mixed Batches

Convert HEIC, WebP, TIFF, SVG and more in one run.

🎯

Five Output Formats

JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and multi-purpose ICO favicons.

🧠

Smart Decoders

HEIC and TIFF decoders load only when those files are present.

🔒

Local Processing

Images never leave your device.

🧯

Fault-Tolerant

A broken file is reported; the rest of the batch still converts.

Why This Tool Beats the Alternatives

  • One page for a dozen input formats instead of a separate site for each pair.
  • No uploads, so personal photos and client files stay private.
  • Free batches with no account, credit system or watermark.
  • Honest scope: it says when a format (RAW, PSD, animation) is outside what a browser can do.
  • Fast on repeat use because conversion starts immediately, with no server round trip.

Pro Tips

  • Pick WebP for websites, JPG for email and documents, PNG for anything you will edit again.
  • Making a favicon? Start from a square PNG or SVG at least 256 px wide and choose ICO — then add the <link rel="icon"> tag to your site.
  • If a batch includes huge scans, convert them first with the Image Resizer to avoid memory errors on phones.

Drop any mix of images above, pick a format, and download the converted files in one go.
