What We Built and Why
ConvertFilesTool started from a simple frustration. Too many online tools ask you to create an account, upload your files to a remote server, and then restrict you to three free conversions before hitting a paywall. For something as basic as compressing a PDF or adding a watermark, that is three steps too many.
So we built something different. Every tool on this platform runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device. No account. No upload. No data stored on any server. You open the tool, use it, and close the tab.
What We Offer
ConvertFilesTool is a free, browser-based document and file utility platform. We cover everything from PDF editing and conversion to image processing, data visualization, developer tools, and SEO utilities. The full list currently includes over 100 tools organized across ten categories:

How Our Tools Work
Most of our PDF and file tools use JavaScript libraries like PDF-Lib, PDF.js, SheetJS, and JSZip to process files directly in your browser. This means the file you upload stays on your machine throughout the entire operation. We do not receive it, store it, or analyze it.
For tools that require server interaction (such as certain format conversions where browser-side processing is not practical), we process files on temporary servers and delete them immediately after the operation completes. We never retain user files beyond what is technically necessary to complete the requested task.
Who Uses This Platform
Our users include students handling assignment submissions, freelancers preparing client deliverables, office professionals managing document workflows, developers testing file generation pipelines, and anyone who occasionally needs to do something specific with a file without installing software or handing it to a cloud service.
We built this for the person who needs a tool right now, not after signing up for a 14-day trial.
Our Commitment
Free means free. We do not put tools behind a paywall after three uses. We do not add watermarks to your output files. We do not require an email address to download your result. Advertising on the platform is how we keep the lights on, and we keep it non-intrusive.
