CSV to PDF

Turn CSV data into a clean, printable PDF table with repeating headers, zebra rows and page numbers.

Runs in your browser. Files and text you add here are processed on your own device with JavaScript and are not uploaded to our server. Some tools download a free open-source library (for example PDF.js or QPDF) from a public CDN the first time you use them. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

A CSV opened on a phone is unreadable, and printing it from a text editor gives you ragged columns. When you need to share tabular data with someone who just wants to read it — a price list, an attendance sheet, a stock count, an invoice register — a PDF table is the friendliest format.

This converter lays out CSV data as a proper table in a PDF: column widths based on the content, wrapped text inside cells, a bold header row that repeats on every page, alternating row shading, and page numbers. Wide tables switch to landscape automatically.

It runs in your browser, so customer lists and financial exports never leave your device.

The output is a text PDF, not a picture of a spreadsheet: numbers and names can be searched with Ctrl+F and copied back out, and the file stays small — a few hundred rows usually fit in well under 100 KB.

How It Works

  1. Add CSV/TSV files — up to 20. The same RFC 4180 parser used by our CSV tools handles quotes, embedded commas and multi-line cells, with automatic delimiter detection.
  2. Choose the layout — paper size, orientation (automatic switches to landscape above six columns), text size from 6 to 10 pt, header row and zebra striping.
  3. Render the table — PDF-Lib measures every column, scales widths to the page, wraps long cells (up to six lines each), and repeats the header on each new page. Page numbers are added to the footer.

Compatibility & Support

Supported Input → Output Formats

  • Input: .csv, .tsv, delimited .txt (comma, semicolon, tab, pipe)
  • Output: text-based PDF table, A4/Letter/Legal, portrait or landscape
  • Limits: up to 40 columns per table

Unsupported Formats

More than 40 columns can't fit legibly on a page — convert the file with CSV to Excel and print selected columns instead. The standard PDF font covers Latin text; non-Latin characters are left out and the tool warns you. Cell content longer than six wrapped lines is shortened.

File Size Limits

Up to 20 files per batch and 20 MB each. A 20 MB CSV can contain hundreds of thousands of rows — technically possible, but the PDF would run to thousands of pages, so filter the data first where you can.

As a guide, an A4 landscape page at 8 pt fits roughly 35–45 rows of single-line cells, so a 1,000-row export becomes about 25 pages. Wrapped cells take more space, which is another reason to drop long free-text columns you don't need on paper.

Who Should Use This Tool?

  • Students: A class representative turns an attendance CSV exported from Google Sheets into a printable PDF for the teacher.
  • Freelancers & Designers: A freelance bookkeeper sends a client a monthly transactions table as a PDF they can read on their phone.
  • Office Professionals: A warehouse supervisor prints a stock-count CSV from the inventory system with the header repeated on every page.
  • Developers: A developer attaches a readable PDF of query results to a report for stakeholders who don't use spreadsheets.

Key Features / Khusoosiyat

Here's what separates this tool from generic alternatives:

📐

Auto Column Widths

Columns sized to their content and fitted to the page.

🔁

Repeating Header

The header row appears at the top of every page.

🦓

Zebra Rows

Optional shading makes long tables easy to follow.

↔️

Auto Landscape

Wide tables switch orientation automatically.

🔢

Page Numbers

“page / total” in the footer of every page.

🔒

On-Device

Data is laid out in your browser, not on a server.

Why This Tool Beats the Alternatives

  • A real table layout instead of plain monospaced text.
  • Repeating headers and page numbers that print-from-editor lacks.
  • Searchable text, not an image of a spreadsheet.
  • No upload of business data.
  • Free, with batch conversion.

Pro Tips

  • Remove unneeded columns before converting — fewer columns means larger, more readable text and fewer wrapped cells on each page.
  • Use 6–7 pt text only for reference tables that will be zoomed on screen; for printing, 8–9 pt is easier to read, especially for older readers or on a low-quality office printer.
  • If the data needs sorting or totals, do that in Excel first and export back to CSV with Excel to CSV.

Add your CSV files above and download a neat, printable PDF table.
