Getting a PDF form and needing to fill it in should take five minutes. For a lot of people, it takes forty. They click into a field and nothing happens. They install a PDF reader and find it wants a subscription to type. They print the form, fill it by hand, scan it back in, and send a 3MB image of handwritten text to someone who sent them a digital document. The entire point of a digital form, completely lost.

Two things cause this: either the PDF has no interactive fields at all, or the software on hand cannot write to the fields that do exist. Both problems end the same way. This tool auto-detects all AcroForm fields built into the PDF, including text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdowns, and lets you fill them directly in your browser. When you save, the values embed as real PDF field data. Nothing is uploaded to any server at any point.

How It Works

1. Open your PDF form — Drag and drop the file or click to select it. The tool parses the PDF document structure entirely in your browser and automatically identifies every interactive AcroForm field: text inputs, checkbox elements, radio button groups, and dropdown menus. No transfer to any external server occurs.
2. Fill in the fields — Click any detected field to interact with it. Text fields accept typed input on click. Checkboxes toggle with a single click. Radio button groups let you select one option per group. Dropdowns display all available options for selection. The built-in page controls let you navigate across multi-page forms.
3. Save and download — Click Save Filled PDF Form. The filled values write directly into the PDF structure client-side, producing a new completed document with all entries embedded as proper PDF field data, not image overlays. Download the file and it is ready to sign or send.

Supported Input → Output Formats

• Input: PDF files containing AcroForm interactive form fields (the standard format used in government forms, contracts, applications, and tax documents)
• Output: PDF with embedded field values — text entries, checkbox states, radio button selections, and dropdown choices written into the PDF structure
• Field types: Text fields (single-line and multi-line), checkboxes, radio button groups, dropdown/select menus

Unsupported Formats

XFA forms, which use an older XML-based structure created in Adobe LiveCycle, are not supported. XFA PDFs look identical to standard forms but behave differently at the data layer. Flat PDFs, which are essentially printouts saved as PDF with no actual form fields embedded, also cannot be filled using this tool since there are no interactive fields to detect. Non-PDF files like Word documents or HTML forms cannot be processed here.

File Size Limits

All processing runs in-browser with no server involved, so there is no imposed file size cap. The tool handles any PDF a modern browser can load into memory. Very large forms with heavy embedded graphics may take a moment to parse on older devices, but they will process fully.

Pro Tips
